Instagram Tips For Mindset Coaches

Want to use Instagram to grow your mindset coaching business? I’ve put together my top Instagram tips for mindset coaches so that you can get the most out of your time on social media and attract your dream clients by being you!

Instagram has been huge for my business. It’s helped me connect with my ideal client, share my message, and help people all over the world.

With Instagram, it’s easy for me to share my life from my phone, no matter where I am or what I’m doing. I’ve traveled to tons of different countries, participated in training and masterminds, and with Instagram, I’ve been able to show the behind-the-scenes of every minute of the life I’ve created.

You might look at me now and think I’m so confident, popping up on Stories, sharing tips and tricks and behind-the-scenes almost daily… but that wasn’t always the case.

I used to be really shy, and the idea of showing my face on Instagram freaked me out!

Let’s Start A Journey Of Instagram Tips for Mindset Coaches.

If you scroll all the way back through YES SUPPLY, you’ll see that in the beginning, I was only sharing quotes. I was nervous about showing my face, and I told myself that my mission was so much bigger than just having it be about me.

Then I started to have people in my real life tell me that everyone wanted to see the face of who was behind YES SUPPLY!

I knew that is time for me to step up and share authentically… and I’m so glad I did because the connections I’ve made along the way have been priceless.

So if you’re a coach who’s ready to show up as the authentic you, here are my favorite Instagram tips for mindset coaches!

1. Shift Your Perception of Instagram

When you’re just getting started, Instagram might look like a place to play, collect inspiration, and mindlessly scroll…

…But when you’re stepping into the identity of a leader, a speaker, an innovator, an influencer, it’s time for all of that to change!

See Yourself As Leader You Already Are

Shift your perception and start to see Instagram as a beautiful place to broadcast your message, to journal ideas, and to collect and post memories that you can look back on in the future. Think of it as a journal of your wisdom.

When you look at Instagram as a place where you can purely share and uplift others, then you can focus on the work you were put here to do in the first place and not get caught up in comparison.

This brings me to another one of my favorite Instagram tips…

2. Don’t Get Caught Up in Comparison

The dream client who’s meant to work with you will be magnetized to you because of the unique way that you do things.

You have your own unique story, and authentically sharing that is how you’re going to build an authentic following on Instagram.

What’s not helpful?

Comparing yourself to others and trying to match up to what you see out there.

If you’re comparing yourself to other people because you feel like you’re not stylish enough or creative enough…

…Then you start to switch up what you’re doing to be who you think everybody wants you to be, and you’ll miss out on the people who need you to be exactly who you are.

fear of missing my own life

When I’m creating content for Instagram, I never worry about what everybody else is doing. I just share the things I’ve found most impactful in my life and my business and respond to the questions people are asking me, which feels like a really natural creative flow.

I can almost guarantee that if you show up every day, speak to your target client, and educate them on how to achieve their goals… they will see you as the BEST in your industry, and want to work with you because of that.

‍‍3. Create Over Consume

This is one of the most important Instagram tips I could possibly give you:

You’re a powerful creator, and the more time you spend creating the Instagram feed YOU want to read, the better.

When you spend too much time-consuming everybody else’s content, it’s easy to get lost in it and forget about the unique perspective you have to offer.

I want you to feel empowered to create from your heart and fearlessly put yourself out there!

Create More Consume Less

So try this experiment and see what happens:

‍For every 30 minutes of content you consume, CREATE for an hour.

‍Leave judgment and perfectionism behind and create from a place of play.

When you create this sacred space for yourself it means you always have dedicated time to create the things you’re meant to put into the world.

‍Schedule this time in your calendar and make sure you repeat it weekly!

‍This is your time for creation. This is time for you to become the person you need to be and let you create the things you always wanted to bring into existence.

You’ll learn and get better every step of the way.

And before you know it, you’ll find that you’re doing the work you were always meant to do!

If you feel you’re spending too much time consuming, watch my YouTube video below.

4. Don’t Obsess About the Numbers

If you’re passionate about creating, don’t worry about the numbers of likes or followers, but see the content you’re putting out as a way to get your work into the world.

Besides, the numbers you see on Instagram don’t always reflect the success that the person is having.

My student Amy — who started with less than 300 in her social media following — was able to attract seven high-end coaching clients within ONE MONTH of completing the YES SUPPLY Method Certification!

One day I’m going to look back and be inspired by the memories of the content I created and what I was learning along the way.

If you love the content you’re creating, and your dream client is the person who is a few steps behind you, then they’ll love it too!

5. You Don’t Have To Be One Thing, You Can Be Everything

As I mentioned earlier, when I first started my Instagram, I was just sharing inspirational quotes… I wasn’t even sharing my face!

But over time, I realized that my community isn’t just interested in tips and education. The people in my community are multidimensional, and they want to see that from me as well!

There’s something unique about my message and my story, and that’s why people are drawn to me. They want to stand for what I stand for, and what YES SUPPLY stands for.

So one of the best Instagram tips I can give you is to BE the multidimensional person that you are!

Don’t be shy about sharing your life, your interests, the things that you love most… and you’ll attract more people like you who connect with what you do!

The right people will be interested in the WHOLE you — from your morning smoothie to the education you share.

This doesn’t mean that you have to air out your dirty laundry if you don’t want to — it just means that you can be ALL of you online. You don’t have to hide.

6. Know the Transformation That Your Coaching Provides… and Speak On It

One of the best ways to grow your coaching business using Instagram is to share stories about transformation.

The lessons you’ve learned, the clients you’ve helped, and your favorite techniques to achieve your goals and help others do the same.

I share personal stories of how the techniques I use in my coaching and teach in the YES SUPPLY Method have changed my life.

When people see those results, they realize that if it’s possible for me. then it’s possible for them, too!

Selling is service, so fall in love with what you do and talk about it often.

Your dream client will be drawn to your content, and when you tell them there’s a way to work with you, they’ll jump at the chance!

7. It’s the Journey, Not the Destination

All Instagram tips and tricks aside, the last thing I want to remind you is that it’s a journey.

Lots of people look at Instagram just as a tool to make money, and think of their followers as customers before building real relationships with them. That mindset is synonymous with going on one date and asking someone to marry you.

Chances are, that wouldn’t work out, right?

If you want to build a relationship with someone, it’s going to be a series of conversations, getting to know each other, sharing stories, supporting each other, and loving each other.

Instagram is no different. It’s always been about getting to know each other and being a part of each other’s lives.

The times I’ve seen the highest engagement on my Instagram have been when I’m celebrating with them… sharing things like my baby bump, moving into my new house, or how far I’ve come since starting at zero.

People are really excited to hear about every step of the journey… what I’ve learned along the way, what I’m hoping for, and the goals I’m setting now.

So for you who’s reading this, all Instagram tips come down to this:

Show up authentically as you, and your dream clients won’t be far behind!

Now I want to hear from you! What Instagram tips would you give a mindset coach who’s just getting started? What tips for Instagram have worked for you? Let me know in the comments! And follow along our journey on Instagram.
