How To Attract the Money To Invest In Yourself

Do you know that you want to invest in yourself, but you’re not sure where the money is going to come from? If you want to attract more and more abundance into your life, there are times when you need to go outside your comfort zone and invest in yourself… but what do you do when you’re feeling called to a certain opportunity and don’t have the funds? Keep reading and I’ll share with you a few of my favorite tips on how to attract the money to invest in yourself!

There have been many times in my life when I felt called to invest in myself to reach my next level… and it often required a leap of faith.

It can be scary to go outside your comfort zone, especially when you have no idea where the money is going to come from or whether your investment is going to pay off!

I remember when I invested in my first Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) training, I had no idea how it was going to pay off for me. At the time, it was something that I just felt a strong calling to learn… I never could have imagined that it would lead me to where I am today, having built YES SUPPLY into a multi-million dollar coaching business!

I know for me, I didn’t grow up with role models who were constantly investing in themselves or in personal development the way I do. Did you? Let me know in the comments.

As someone who has constantly worked on my abundance mindset, I can tell you that there are always new things to work through every time I decide that I want to grow and expand into a new level.

No matter where you are now with your abundance mindset, know that you’re not alone! It’s something that you’ll continue to grow and build over time.

And if you’re feeling called to an opportunity to invest in yourself and need a little inspiration for how to pull it off, keep reading!

you can only manifest what you want by being grateful for what you have now.

Look At The Resources You Already Have

There have been many times when I didn’t think I had the money to invest in myself, but really, I just wasn’t aware of all that was available to me.

So my first tip for attracting the money to invest in yourself is to look at the resources you have around you.

Some of the things I’ve done to bring in the money to invest in myself have been selling old clothes, or looking online at what people are buying, and then going into storage and seeing what I can sell. You can even ask your parents or grandparents if they have things you can sell.

When you’re looking at your resources, also think about what skills you have and whether you can apply them to support anyone in your network.

For example, maybe you’ve started a blog or a social media presence, and you can market those skills to support others.

Start thinking:

Who in my network can I reach out to and ask, “Do you need another pair of hands on deck?”

You’d be amazed at how much people you know might appreciate having something like social media management taken off of their plate!

I also recommend looking around and practicing gratitude for all that you have. If you can be grateful for what you have, you might even think of more ways that the money can come to you!

Upgrade Your Skillset

My next tip for you is that you don’t have to wait until you’ve attracted the money to invest in yourself to start upgrading your skillset.

One of the main reasons I grew my coaching business so quickly and allowed money to flow easily to me was when I learned about the Law of Compensation, which is one of The Universal Laws.

The Law of Compensation states that the amount of money that you receive will be in direct proportion to the need for what you do, your ability to do it, and the difficulty in replacing you.

The more you upgrade your skills, the more value you’re able to provide to others… and in turn, you’ll be able to be paid more.

So whether you’re working in a day job, starting a business, or even trying to grow your business and reach more people, investing in yourself and your skillset will be a key step to attracting more abundance.

That said, there may be ways you can upgrade your skillset right now.

For example:

Can you learn a new skill for free on YouTube and add it to your business to offer more value to others?

If you’re working for someone else, are there ways you can add value to the company to eventually lead to raises and promotions for you?

I remember back when I was still working in retail, I made a decision to stop coming into work and seeing myself as “just a Sales Associate” and start thinking like a leader.

So I started to focus not just on meeting my own sales goals, but the sales goals of the entire store. I helped my co-workers meet their goals. I started to observe the problems my managers were facing and thinking about ways to solve them.

I started to see myself as a manager.

Can you guess what happened?

I was promoted to Store Manager after just 3 months — which was pretty much unheard of at the company at the time — and when it came time for me to move on, they tried very hard to keep me.

Do you see?

By solving higher-level problems than my pay grade, I moved up to a higher pay grade and a higher level of responsibility.

This is a perfect example of the Law of Compensation at work.

If you want to go deeper on this, check out my YouTube video on “What I Would Do If I Was Broke Again” to spark some ideas of how you can attract more money to invest in yourself:

Tap Into Your Future Self

Years ago, before I started teaching Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), hypnotherapy, and the other modalities that I teach today, I made a $20K+ investment in a Mastermind to help me go deeper with these skills.

At the time, I did NOT have the money and I didn’t have a concrete way of how I would pay it back.

But when I thought of myself in the future, the version of Reese who was living all her dreams… I realized that the money was secondary.

First and foremost I needed the skill, the belief in myself, and the tools to grow my business.

When I pictured my future self, I realized:

“The version of me who speaks on stages, has a certification, inspires thousands, has her dream office and her dream car… she has this knowledge.”

And that made it clear that if I wanted to be the best at what I do — if I wanted to achieve mastery — then I needed to make that investment.

So if you want to invest in yourself, try picturing the version of you who is living your dreams, living in your “YES” life… did they make this investment?

Once you get really clear on that, you may even start to have new ideas from your “future self” on how to attract the money you need!

Make a Decision

Before I made that big investment in the Mastermind, I thought about all the ways I could make it back.

I didn’t go into it “fingers crossed,” just HOPING that it would work out.

I told myself, “I can figure this out. I’m willing to put in the work. I’m willing to put in the focus. I will MAKE this work out.”

Not dabbling.

Not treating it like a side hustle.

I was ALL the way in.

When you’re going to invest in yourself, it’s important to make that decision.

Focus on what it is that you want, and make the decision that it’s going to work out.

When you do this, your subconscious mind can go to work for you, and the Universe will support you.

Think about all the things you’ve overcome in life and have faith in yourself.

Remember that you are infinitely powerful… and that you’re here for growth and expansion.

Every time I invest in myself, I make this decision.

I find that the more that I trust in myself, have faith in myself, and give myself space to expand and grow, the more I do.

In fact, a while ago I was making a big investment and a friend told me, You’re putting yourself in a bigger flower pot.

I love that perspective because every time you step up to invest in yourself, you’re essentially giving yourself more space to grow.

And you can’t see what happens until you try. 😉

"When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.”

Practice EFT Tapping

One of my favorite tools for managing my emotions and keeping my vibration high is Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT Tapping.

Remember that we are all energy, and like energy attracts like energy.

If you’re in a high vibration, you’re going to attract good things to yourself.

So if you want to attract more money, Tapping can be an incredible tool to align yourself with a higher frequency.

Most people get stuck in the belief that making money has to be harder or more complicated than it actually is.

Here’s an EFT Tapping session to help you release the belief “It’s hard to make money.”

Try it and let me know what it opens up to you!

The last thought I want to leave you with is this:

Money is everywhere.

There are literally unlimited amounts of it being printed every day.

Remember that money is simply a tool that allows us to exchange value.
